Day 119/365
Just a simple mile today. Now the plan is just to relax for the rest of the day. Gotta rest the engine!

Day 118/365
I've loved this half-marathon from the start & I was there for the first one in 2010. I've run it 5 times & each time it makes me fall in love with our beautiful city & reminds me that Rochester has one of the best running communities. Can't wait for Sunday!

Day 115/365
13 years of listening to running podcasts as the miles click by. They never disappoint; always a source of reliable information, helpful opinions, entertaining interviews & proof that incredible things reside in all of us who lace up & test ourselves everyday in the toughest race on earth: the one against our inner doubts, fears & demons.

Day 114/365
Beautiful weather to be outside today! I'm really an outside kinda person & thankful I got to spend some time out in the sun for work!

Day 113/365
Love the smells of grass clippings & fresh mulch out there today on the roads. Reminded me that after every winter, there always comes a spring...

Day 112/365
Of all of mankind's marvelous characteristics one stands out above all others, our ability to have hope. Beautiful sky & sun out there tonight. Hope your day was filled with some.

Day 109/365
If you're not moving, you're not living. Even when you don't feel like it, it's important to keep moving forward in a positive way towards your goal. If others don't understand or help you do that, then it's time to wave goodbye.

Day 108/365
Two things I really enjoy when I'm at work: 1. Watching people giving their all when training 2. Getting paid to run in the sunshine!

Day 105/365
I do so cherish the introspection & thought when I'm out there. Feel like I could solve the world's problems on the road.

Day 103/365
Sometimes you can't help but get caught up with the energy of athletes putting in 100% effort despite being faced with a daunting challenge. The "dark place" requires suffering, but rewards with understanding & confidence.

Day 100/365
The face you make the day you realize it's the 100th picture & that deleting your custom running playlist from your phone deletes it from iTunes! Oops!

Day 98/365
Nothing is more important than taking care of yourself. But it amazes me how many runners overlook our high risk to skin cancer. The danger is real & ever since my scare 5 years ago, I always get my yearly body inspection. Get yours! You'll look great in a gown & they're so airy in the back!

Day 97/365
What the heck man?! Snow in freaking April? Why do I continue to live in upstate NY & try to be a distance runner?

Day 96/365
Horrible weather out there. But it was like Zeus himself hit my ass with a thunderbolt, threw the winged shoes & steel helmet at me & said, "What the hell are you waiting for?" Stomach has made a turn around, doc says I'm not dying & I can run again. Day 803 in a row. Life's good!

Day 93/365
Well, I think I've finally got this wacky stomach thing licked. It's been a crazy ride & I haven't been this sick in a very long time. I don't like sitting around much, but it did allow me to finish some books & maybe start a new chapter.
