Its been a long journey. Lots of slow uphills, some fast downhills, lots of twists & turns that at times left me so lost, but hope was found around some of those turns, it was heartbreaking to take that fork when I could no longer avoid it, but happiness doesn't come without some sacrifice, I ran alone most of the time, but precious others paced me on occasion regardless the speed, thank you doesn't do them justice, there were days where it felt like a kid to bound through rainy puddles, there were days where it felt like my shoes were melting from the heat, there were days where stubbornness overruled frostbite, there were quiet mornings with inspiring sunrises, there were surprising miles squashed between double PT sessions, there were days of running into peaceful sunsets, there were super long workouts for the longest race of my life, there were days that left me broken physically, days that left me bare emotionally, but one foot in front of the other to be the strong role model father my son deserves, to honor my Coach, to represent that PT star, to be that crazy friend, to show that anything's possible with dedication, to be the best I can be. It's impossible to put into words. But that's the beauty of it. It's my 732 day journey. Here's to the next 365 more...
