Day 147/365
The picture doesn't do it justice. But every time I run by all I can think of is that this clearing must be beautiful on a clear starlit summer night with some lightning bugs.

Day 146/365
You know you're having a productive day when you're already knee deep into your morning training, the gym's deserted & your morning alarm you set last night goes off!

Day 144/365
And yes that glorious time of season has returned, my coach is trying to kill me with hill repeats. I endure...

Day 139/365
Life's all about a fine balance between risk & reward. Sometimes it's worth the risk, even if the odds don't appear stacked in your favor.

Day 138/365
Even though it's been brutally hot & humid the last two days running, it sure beats snow, ice storms, hurricane strength winds & flooding.

Day 137/365
Holy crap I think I just died! Yesterday restart wearing my minimalist shoes for that run, 86 degree weather with 30 mph gusts made this one feel like a death march. No idea how I managed 2 at 26.2 pace. Glad it's over until tomorrow!

Day 136/365
Always been a solo flier when I do my training. But I'm so loving that my big little man is hanging with me now for some of it. Although, I did get tired of him saying "This is Sparta!" every 10 minutes. No it's not, but we train like it is!

Day 134/365
Every good runner has a great mom rooting for him! Wouldn't be the man I am today without this woman's support.

Day 131/365
Day 131/365-Good to see my aim with pepper spray is still excellent while running a sub nine minute mile. Mr. Home Owner, keep letting your dog chase me, I'll keep perfecting my aim!

Day 129/365
Challenges, life is full of them & the last 24 hours, a few. I do really well with the running ones. But sometimes, even I balk at the big hills that life throws at you. Just have to remember to remain strong & keep moving forward. New person added to my gym membership & what a great time training with him. We needed it tonight. Proud of my son. He'll always be the reason.

Day 128/365
And so the 3rd training cycle of 2017 begins. Love the feeling of starting new & the possibilities that lay ahead. I think I'm definitely converted to training all year round in every season. So many positives!

Day 127/365
Good by old endurance bag. You ran with me for a very long time. Wish your company got their act together & started selling again.

Day 126/365
Been getting away with not stretching, not getting enough sleep or not being nice to myself. Time to refocus a tad.

Day 125/365
1st ever Taco De Mile is in the books! It's easier eating doughnuts! But I'll take an unofficial time of 11:20! Siding throw up, but my shoes will take a month to dry! No more beef tacos next year!

Day 122/365
After a hard race on Sunday & being a pacer yesterday I think I deserve a little break this week. Not from running, just hard running. Great memories, so so training cycle & some good lessons learned. There's more mileage in these legs than a mere 31,450 miles. After all there's another half in 74 days!
